A remote expertise for Customers' support


In response to the travel restrictions triggered by Covid19, Fives’ Services Teams have accelerated the implementation of remote expertise to assist its customers around the world in maintaining their production.

In March 2020, the Services’ teams conducted a Remote Expertise on a Special Crane operating in a aluminium smelter in the Middle East. The remote expert guided the technicians in the field to carry out a structural audit, using video, voice and visual aids.  This first remote expertise was really positive for the client: the virtual presence of the expert made it possible to be reactive in maintaining the planned audit, thus speeding up the issuance of the expert's report leading to OPEX gains.

Following this first successful implementation, other remote expertise might be considered for future planned inspections, structural audits, compressor diagnostics... Our experts remain available through on-line assistance services ranging from consulting, auditing to troubleshooting assistance.
